“Joseph her husband, an upright man unwilling to expose her to the law, decided to divorce her quietly.” –Matthew 1:19 When St. Joseph did not divorce Mary, he made one of the greatest acts of faith in history. மத் 1:16, 18-21,24 தவக்காலத்தில் நாம் கொண்டாடும் விழாக்களில் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது தூய வளனாரின் பெருவிழா. இத்தவக்காலத்தில் இவரை நாம் நினைவு கூர்வது இன்னும் அதிகமாக இத்தவக்காலத்தை வாழ்வாக்க எளிதாக இருக்கும். காரணம் இவர் மௌனத்தில் பேசியவர், பேசியதைக் காட்டிலும் செயலினால் அதிகம் இறைத் திருவுளத்தை நிறைவேற்றியவர். உப்பாக, ஒளியாக இருங்கள் என்று சொன்ன நம் ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தைகளை உலகின் உப்பாக இருந்து வாழ்ந்து காட்டியவர். நேற்றைய நற்செய்தியில் ‘தீர்ப்பிடாதீர்கள்’ என்ற இறைவார்த்தையை தன் வாழ்க்கை மந்திரமாகக் கொண்டவர். உன் உள் அறைக்கு சென்று செபி என்ற இறைவார்த்தை தன்வார்த்தையாக்கியவர். இதுவரைக்கும் இத்தவக்காலத்தில் நாம் பார்த்த அனைத்து நற்செய்தியின் மதிப்பீடுகளின் மறுஉருவமே இன்றைய விழா நாயகர் தூய வளனார். தன் விருப்பு வெருப்புகளை இறைவனின் விருப்பத்திற்காக கரைத்துக் கொண்டவர். தன்னால் முடிந்தவரை நல்லவர்களின் நற்பெயருக்கு கலங்கம் வராதபடி தன்னையே கட்டி கோட்டையாகப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டவர். மொத்தத்தில் இத்தவக்காலம் நம் கண்முன் காட்டுகிற...
