CREDIBILITY AND CONSISTENCY

உயர்த்தப்பட்டவரை உற்று நோக்கி

(யோவான் 3 : 7-15) பழைய ஏற்பாட்டினை நிறைவு செய்பவர் நம் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு. மறைவாக இருந்த அனைத்திற்கும் நல்ல விளக்கத்தைக் கொடுத்ததோடு, தன்னிலே பலவற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். இயேசு, தான் சாகும் முன்பே அவர் எவ்வாறு இறந்து மாட்சிமைப்படப் போகிறார் என்பதனை நிக்கதேம் என்ற பரிசேயரிடம் பேசிக் கொண்டிருப்பதே இன்றைய நற்செய்தி. பழைய ஏற்பாட்டிலுள்ள இந்த வெண்கலப் பாம்பு என்பது ஒரு அடையாளம். பாலைவனத்தில் மோசே தலைமையில் இஸ்ரயேல் இனம் பயணம் செய்த பொழுது நச்சுப் பாம்புகளால் கடிபட்டு இறந்தனர். அப்பொழுது மோசே வெண்கலத்தால் செய்யப்பட்டப் பாம்பை உயர்த்தி, அதைப் பார்ப்போர் பாம்பின் நஞ்சுக்குப் பலியாக மாட்டார் என்று உறுதி மொழிந்தார். இந்த நிகழ்வுக்கும் கல்வாரி நிகழ்வுக்கும் மிக நெருங்கிய தொடர்பு இருக்கிறது. விலக்கப்பட்ட மரத்தின் மூலமாக நுழைந்த பாவம் சிலுவை மரத்தின் மூலமாகக் கழுவப்படுகிறது. முதல் ஆதாமின் மூலமாகக் கீழ்ப்படிதல் இல்லாமையால் வந்த பாவமும் சாவும் இயேசுவின் கீழ்ப்படிதலாலும் சாவினாலும்...

“Grant to Your servants, even as they speak Your words, complete assurance.” —Acts 4:29 On the ninth day of Easter, our true Love, Jesus (see 1 Jn 4:8, 16), gives us holy boldness, complete assurance, absolute confidence (Acts 4:29; Heb 10:22), “parrhesia, straightforward simplicity, filial trust, joyous assurance, humble boldness, the certainty of being loved” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2778).
