திருத்தூதர்பணி 25: 13 – 21 வாழ்க்கையின் ”குறிப்பிட்ட தருணம்“ ஒருவருடைய தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையையோ, ஒரு சமூகத்தின் பார்வையையோ, ஒட்டுமொத்த நாட்டின் போக்கையோ மாற்றக்கூடியதாக இருக்கும். அசோகருக்கு கலிங்கத்துபோர் அவரது வாழ்க்கையின் போக்கையே மாற்றியது. தூய பவுலடியாருக்கு, உயிர்த்த இயேசுவின் காட்சி, அவருடைய வாழ்வையே மாற்றியது. இந்திய சுதந்திரப்போரில் சிப்பாய்க்கலகம் இந்திய சுதந்திர வரலாற்றில் மிகப்பெரிய திருப்புமுனையாக அமைந்தது. இயேசுவின் வளர்ப்புத்தந்தை யோசேப்பின் வாழ்வில் அவர் கண்ட கனவு, மரியாளைப் பற்றிய பார்வையை மாற்றியது. இப்படி ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட “தருணமானது“ ஒரு தனிப்பட்ட மனிதரின் வாழ்வையோ, ஒட்டுமொத்த சமூகத்தின் போக்கையோ மாற்றக்கூடியதாக இருக்கிறது. உலக வரலாற்றின் குறிப்பிட்ட முக்கிய தருணமானது, இயேசுவின் உயிர்ப்பே என்பதை ஆணித்தரமாக பவுலடியார் சொன்னது, இன்றைய வாசகத்தில் விளக்கப்படுகிறது. பெஸ்தைச் சந்திக்க வந்த அகிரிப்பா, இரண்டாம் மார்க்கஸ் ஜீலியஸ் அகிரிப்பா ஆவார். இவர் அகிரிப்பாவின் மகனும் (12: 1 – 25), பெரிய ஏரோதுவின் கொள்ளுப்பேரனும் ஆவார்....

திருத்தூதர்பணி 22: 30, 23: 6 – 11 சூழ்நிலைக்கு ஏற்ப தன்னை தயார்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும் திறனை பவுல் இன்றைய வாசகத்தில் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். ஏதேன்ஸ் நகரத்து மக்கள் பெயர் தெரியாத கடவுளை வணங்குவதை, அவர்களது அறிவு மொழியில் பாராட்டி, இறுதியாக அவர்கள் வணங்குகிற கடவுளைப் பற்றித்தான் அறிவித்துக்கொண்டிருப்பதாக, அறிவாற்றல் கொண்டு விளக்குகிறார். இந்த பகுதியிலும் தன்னுடைய அறிவாற்றலை அவர் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். தலைமைக் குருக்களும், தலைமைச் சங்கத்தினர் அனைவரும் கூடிவருமாறு, ஆயிரத்தவர் தலைவர் ஆணைபிறப்பிக்கிறார். பவுல் சிறையிலிருந்து அழைத்துவரப்படுகிறார். பவுல் அங்கே கொண்டுவரப்பட்டபோது, பரிசேயர்களும், மறைநூல் அறிஞர்களும் ஏராளமாக திரண்டிருப்பதைப் பார்க்கிறார். உயிர்ப்பு உண்டென அறிவித்ததால், தான் இத்தகைய நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டிருப்பதாக அறிவிக்கிறார். சிறையில் இருப்பது என்பது, பவுலடியாருக்கு ஒன்றும் புதிதல்ல. அந்த நிலையிலும் அவர் துணிவோடு பேசுகிறார். உயிர்ப்பு பற்றிய பவுலடியாரின் பேச்சு அங்கு பெரும் குழப்பத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. காரணம் இதுதான்? பரிசேயர்கள் உயிர்ப்பை நம்புகிறவர்கள். சதுசேயர்கள் உயிர்ப்பை நம்பாதவர்கள். இவர்கள்...
