யோனா 2: 2, 3, 4, 7 ஆண்டவர் தன்னை மீட்டதாக இறைவாக்கினர் யோனா முழுமையாக நம்புகிறார். யோனா இறைவாக்கினர் நினிவே நகரத்தில் கடவுளின் வார்த்தையை அறிவிப்பதற்காக அனுப்பப்பட்டவர். கடவுளை முழுமையாக நம்புகிறவர். ஆனாலும், தன்னுடைய வார்த்தை எப்படியானாலும் நிறைவேற்றப்பட வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறவராக சித்தரிக்கப்படுகிறார். ”இன்னும் நாள்பது நாட்களில் நினிவே நகர் அழிக்கப்படும்” என்கிறார். ஆனால், மக்கள் மனம் மாறியதால் கடவுள் தன் மனதை மாற்றிக்கொள்கிறார். யோனா அறிவித்தபடி, நினிவே அழிக்கப்படவில்லை. இது யோனாவுக்கு கோபத்தை வரச்செய்கிறது. தான் அவமானப்படுத்தப்பட்டதாக நினைக்கிறார். மக்கள் தன்னை இனிமேல் மதிக்க மாட்டார்கள் என்று நினைக்கிறார். இறுதியில் கடவுளை முழுமையாக அறிந்து கொள்கிறார். தன்னுடைய வாழ்வை திரும்பிப்பார்க்கிறபோது, இறைவன் எப்படியெல்லாம் அற்புதமாக தன்னைக் காப்பாற்றியிருக்கிறார் என்பதை உணர்கிறார். இறைவன் மீதுள்ள தன்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையை இந்த பாடலில் உள்ள வார்த்தைகள் மூலமாக உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறார். நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையிலும், கடவுள் மீதான நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கை உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். சாதாரண...

நம்பிக்கை என்பது ஒரே சமதளத்தில் இருக்கக்கூடியது அல்ல. சில வேளைகளில் மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கை உணர்வு நம்மிடம் மேலோங்கியிருக்கும். பல நேரங்களில் நாம் நம்பிக்கை உணர்வு அற்றவர்களாக இருப்போம். அப்படிப்பட்ட மனநிலையைத்தான் சீடர்கள் தங்களது வார்த்தையில் பிரதிபலிக்கிறார்கள். நிச்சயமாக, இது குற்ற உணர்வில் வெளிப்படுகின்ற வார்த்தைகள். தங்களுடைய போதகரிடத்தில் உண்மையாக இல்லாத ஒரு நிலையில் வெளிப்படுகின்ற வார்த்தைகள். சாதாரண மனிதர்களின் நம்பிக்கை வாழ்வில் இருக்கக்கூடிய ஏற்றத்தாழ்வுகளை, உணர்வுப்பூர்வமாக வெளிப்படுத்தக்கூடிய வார்த்தைகள். சீடர்கள் தங்களின் நம்பிக்கை உணர்வை அதிகப்படுத்தும்படியாக இயேசுவிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்கள். ஒன்று மட்டும், சீடர்களின் வார்த்தையில் தெளிவாக இருக்கிறது. தங்களிடம் நம்பிக்கை குறைவு என்பதை, ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். அந்த நம்பிக்கைக் குறைவை இயேசு ஒருவரால் தான், சரிப்படுத்த முடியும் என்பதிலும் அவர்கள் தெளிவாக இருக்கிறார்கள். இன்றைக்கு நம்பிக்கையை அதிகப்படுத்துவது, கடவுளின் வல்லமையால் மட்டும் தான் முடியும் என்பதை, இந்த நற்செய்தி நமக்குக் கற்றுத்தருகிறது. நமது வாழ்வில், நமது நம்பிக்கை இறக்கம் காண்கிறபோதெல்லாம், நாம் கடவுளின்...
