கடவுளின் பணியாளர்களிடம் பகைமை பாராட்டுவதும், அவர்களை எதிரிகளாக பாவிப்பதும் இன்றைக்கு நேற்றல்ல, நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே இது தொடர்ந்து வருகிறது. கடவுளின் பணியாளர்களை மிரட்டுவதும், அவர்களை அவமானப்படுத்துவதும் தொடக்க காலத்திலிருந்தே, வரலாற்றில் நிகழ்ந்து கொண்டே தான் இருக்கிறது. அப்படி எதிர்ப்புக்கள் வருகிறபோது, அதனை எப்படி எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டும்? என்பதற்கு இயேசு சிறந்த எடுத்துக்காட்டு. பரிசேயர்கள் சிலர், இயேசுவின் மீது நல்லெண்ணமும், அன்பும் கொண்டவர்கள் தங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த தகவலைக்கொண்டு, இயேவிடம் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார்கள். அவருக்கு எதிராக தீட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற சதித்திட்டங்களை, அவரிடத்தில் சொல்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் சொல்வதைக் கேட்டதும், இயேசு பயந்துவிடவில்லை. ஓடிவிடவும் இல்லை. துணிவோடு எதிர்க்கிறார். தவறை, தவறு என்று சுட்டிக்காட்டும் வலிமை, வல்லமை இயேசுவிடமிருந்து கற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். எதிர்கொள்கிற பிரச்சனையில் வெற்றி, தோல்வி பற்றி கவலையில்லை. இறுதிவரை நிலைத்து நிற்க வேண்டும். நியாயத்திற்காக, நீதிக்காக நிற்க வேண்டும். அதுதான், இயேசுவின் வாழ்வு நமக்குக் கற்றுத்தரும் பாடம். வாழ்க்கையில் சவால்களை துணிவோடு சந்திக்க, இயேசுவின் வாழ்க்கை...
