SHE REVERSES THE CURSES

“Your deed of hope will never be forgotten by those who tell of the might of God.” —Judith 13:19 When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, the result was three curses. இறையாட்சியின் சவால்கள்

”திருமுழுக்கு யோவானின் காலமுதல் இந்நாள் வரையிலும் விண்ணரசு வன்மையாகத் தாக்கப்படுகின்றது. தாக்குகின்றவர்கள் அதைக் கைப்பற்றிக் கொள்கின்றனர்” என்று, 12 வது இறைவார்த்தைச் சொல்கிறது. இதே வார்த்தையின் பொருள் லூக்கா 16: 16 ல், வெளிப்படுகிறது. ”திருச்சட்டமும் இறைவாக்கினர்களும் யோவான் காலம் வரையிலும்தான். அதுமுதல் இறையாட்சி பற்றிய நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. யாவரும் இறையாட்சிக்குட்பட நெருக்கியடித்துக்கொண்டு வருகிறார்கள்”. இதனுடைய பொருள் என்ன? இயேசு இதன் வழியாக சொல்லவிரும்புகிற கருத்து என்ன? விண்ணரசு எப்போதுமே வன்முறையைச் சந்தித்துக்கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது. இங்கே விண்ணரசு என்று சொல்லப்படுவது, அதை அறிவிக்கிறவர்கள். திருமுழுக்கு யோவான் வந்தார். ஆண்டவருடைய அரசை அறிவித்தார். அவர் கொல்லப்பட்டார். யாரெல்லாம் ஆண்டவருடைய அரசை மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களோ, அவா்கள் அனைவருக்கும், இதுதான் கதியாகும். விண்ணரசை எதிர்க்கிறவர்கள் எப்போதுமே மிகப்பெரிய சவாலாக இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், அதையும் துணிவோடு சந்திக்கிறவர்களால் தான், இன்றைக்கும் விண்ணரசு அழியாமல் உறுதியாக நிற்கிறது. நாம் அனைவருமே இறையாட்சியின் தூண்கள். நாம்...

A CHRISTMAS TREAT

“Come to Me.” —Matthew 11:28 When Jesus came to us, we usually made His life burdensome. He carried the burden of our sins (Mt 8:17), and He carried the cross to pay for our sins (Jn 19:17; Catechism of the Catholic Church, 598). When Jesus came to us, we usually did not refresh Him. He was rejected (Jn 1:11), ridiculed (Mt 27:42), spurned (Jn 18:40), disbelieved (Mt 17:17), avoided (Is 53:3), mocked (Mk 15:19-20), and crucified (Jn 19:18). How wonderful that Jesus does not deal with us according to our sins and requite us according to our crimes! (Ps 103:10)...

இயேசுவே நமது வாழ்வின் அருமருந்து

கடவுளை பலவிதமான வழிகளில் களைப்புறாமல் தொடர்ந்து தேடிக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களுக்கும், வாழ்வில் எப்போதும் நன்மையே செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணி, அதற்கான முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டுக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களுக்கும் இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகள் ஆறுதலாக அமைகிறது. கிரேக்கர்கள், ”கடவுளைக்காண்பது அரிது. கடவுளைக்கண்டாலும் அதனை மற்றவர்களுக்கு விளக்கிக்கூறுவது அரிதிலும் அரிது” என்று சொல்வார்கள். யோபு புத்தகத்திலே சோப்பார், யோபுவிடம் கேட்பதும் இதுதான், ”கடவுளின் ஆழ்ந்த உண்மைகளை நீர் அறிய முடியுமா?” (யோபு 11: 7). அப்படியென்றால், கடவுளைக்காணவே முடியாதா? நன்மை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு சோதனை மேல் சோதனைதான் கிடைக்குமா? அவர்கள் ஆறுதல் கூட பெற முடியாதா? என்கிற கேள்விகள் நமக்குள்ளாக எழலாம். அதற்கு பதில்தான் இயேசுவின் அமுதமொழிகள். கடவுளைப்பற்றிய தேடல் இயேசுவில் நிறைவடைகிறது. வாழ்வில் நன்மையே செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணுகிறவர்களுக்கு நிறைவு இயேசுவில் கிடைக்கிறது. இயேசு சொல்கிறார், ”பெருஞ்சுமை சுமந்து சோர்ந்திருப்பவர்களே, எல்லாரும் என்னிடம் வாருங்கள், நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன்”. இந்த வார்த்தைகள் கடவுளைப்பற்றிய தேடல் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும், வாழ்வில் நன்மையே...
