All ate until they were full.” –Matthew 15:36-37 Today’s Scripture readings all foreshadow the blessed feast which is celebrated at Mass in Holy Communion. The rich feast (Is 25:6) celebrated at the banquet table (see Ps 23:5) to nourish the multitudes (Mt 15:38) is the Eucharist we receive at every Mass. மத்தேயு 15:29-37 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் திருப்பலிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். உடல்நோய், மனநோய் இந்த இரண்டினாலும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பெருகிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு விடுதலை உண்டா? என்று நாம் யோசித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். உடல்நோய் மற்றும் மனநோயை நாமே குணப்படுத்த முடியும். திருவிவிலியத்திலுள்ள இரண்டு வார்த்தைளை நாம் பயன்படுத்தினால் நம் உள்மனக் காயங்கள், வெளிமனக் காயங்கள் மற்றும் அனைத்து நோய்களும் குணமாகுகின்றன. அந்த இரண்டு வார்த்தைகள் இதோ: 1. தாவீதின் மகனே இரங்கும் ஏற்கெனவே நோயினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவை நோக்கி ”தாவீதின் மகனே எனக்கு இரங்கும்” என மன்றாடும் போது அவர் அற்புத சுகம் அளிக்கிறார் இந்த வார்த்தை கடவுளின் பேரிரக்கத்தை பெற்றுத் தருகிறது கொடிய நோய்களுக்கு விடுதலை அளிக்கிறது. 2. உம்மால்...

“Blest are the eyes that see what you see.” –Luke 10:23 Much of the world has already started to celebrate Christmas, but we Christians are still waiting. We are observing the season of Advent. We are not jumping ahead of the Lord, but waiting for His coming by preparing our hearts. What do we hear from the world? We hear that Christmas is a season for children; innocent, delighted children are often pictured on “holiday” commercials. This is true for Christians as well. லூக்கா 10:21-24 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் திருப்பலிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். ஒருசில ஜெபங்களை நாம் உணர்ந்து சொல்லும்போது அது நம் உடல், மனம், ஆன்மாவிற்கான முழுபலனையும் தருகிறது. அந்த ஜெபத்தை சொல்லும்போது நம் உடலில் புதுசெல்கள் பிறக்கின்றன. அப்படிப்பட்ட மிக அருமையான ஜெபத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறது இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம். அந்த ஜெபத்தை இரண்டு நேரங்களில் சொல்லும்போது அது அதிக பலன்களை பெற்றுத்தருகிறது. நம் திறமைகளை வெளிப்படுத்திய பிறகு நம்முடைய திறமைகளை வெளிப்படுத்தி சிறப்பான காரியங்களைச் செய்த பிறகு நமக்கு ஒரு சந்தோசம் கிடைக்கும். அந்த வேளையில் நாம் நம்மைக் குறித்து பெருமிதம் கொள்ளாமல் இறைவனை நினைக்க வேண்டும். அதைத்தான் இயேசு நற்செய்தி வாசகத்தில் செய்கிறார். நாமும் அவரைப்போல சிறப்பான செயல்களை...

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ––Romans 10:13 Most of us reading this are baptized Catholics. Once a year, at Easter, we have the remarkable opportunity to renew our baptismal promises. In this way, we “confess with” our “lips that Jesus is Lord” (see Rm 10:9). But if this confession is not founded upon heartfelt belief, our words ring hollow. In addition, salvation is not a onetime event. We must persevere, exercising the virtue of fortitude. “The man who holds out to the end, however, is the one who will see salvation” (Mt 24:13)....
