மத் 1:16, 18-21,24 தவக்காலத்தில் நாம் கொண்டாடும் விழாக்களில் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது தூய வளனாரின் பெருவிழா. இத்தவக்காலத்தில் இவரை நாம் நினைவு கூர்வது இன்னும் அதிகமாக இத்தவக்காலத்தை வாழ்வாக்க எளிதாக இருக்கும். காரணம் இவர் மௌனத்தில் பேசியவர், பேசியதைக் காட்டிலும் செயலினால் அதிகம் இறைத் திருவுளத்தை நிறைவேற்றியவர். உப்பாக, ஒளியாக இருங்கள் என்று சொன்ன நம் ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தைகளை உலகின் உப்பாக இருந்து வாழ்ந்து காட்டியவர். நேற்றைய நற்செய்தியில் ‘தீர்ப்பிடாதீர்கள்’ என்ற இறைவார்த்தையை தன் வாழ்க்கை மந்திரமாகக் கொண்டவர். உன் உள் அறைக்கு சென்று செபி என்ற இறைவார்த்தை தன்வார்த்தையாக்கியவர். இதுவரைக்கும் இத்தவக்காலத்தில் நாம் பார்த்த அனைத்து நற்செய்தியின் மதிப்பீடுகளின் மறுஉருவமே இன்றைய விழா நாயகர் தூய வளனார். தன் விருப்பு வெருப்புகளை இறைவனின் விருப்பத்திற்காக கரைத்துக் கொண்டவர். தன்னால் முடிந்தவரை நல்லவர்களின் நற்பெயருக்கு கலங்கம் வராதபடி தன்னையே கட்டி கோட்டையாகப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டவர். மொத்தத்தில் இத்தவக்காலம் நம் கண்முன் காட்டுகிற...

“Search the Scriptures.” –John 5:39 The Scriptures testify on Jesus’ behalf (Jn 5:39). If we believed Moses, that is, the first five books of the Bible, we would believe Jesus (Jn 5:46). பதில் தொடர்கின்றது பரிசேயர்களுக்கான பதில் இன்றைய நற்செய்தியிலும் தொடர்கின்றது. இயேசுவே இறைமகன் என்பதற்கான சான்றுகளைத் தனக்குத்தானே எடுத்துக்காட்டுவதோடு, மற்றவர்கள் அவருக்கு சான்று பகர்ந்தது பற்றியும் எடுத்துரைக்கின்றார். இதில் தந்தைக் கடவுளின் சான்றும், திருமுழுக்கு யோவானின் சான்றும் மிகவும் இன்றியமையாதவை. ஆனால் இச்சான்றுகள் அனைத்தும் வெறும் வார்த்தைகளால் மட்டுமே இருந்தன. அதனால் யூதர்களுக்குக் குறிப்பாகப் பரிசேயர்களுக்கு இயேசுவே இறைமகன் என்று கூறுவது மிகவும் கடினமாக இருந்தது. அச்சான்றுகளை அறியாதவர்கள் பலர். அறிந்தவர்களிலும் உணர்ந்தவர்கள் சிலர். இப்படியிருக்க எப்படி இயேசுவின் சான்றினை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்? ஆனால் இயேசு தான் இறைமகன் என்பதனை தன் வார்த்தைகளால் மட்டும் காட்டவில்லை. மாறாகத் தன் செயல்களினாலும் காட்டினார். அவருடைய சொல்லுக்கும் செயலுக்கும் இடைவெளி இல்லை. மற்றவர்களைப் போல அவர் சொல்லிவிட்டுச் செல்லவில்லை. மாறாகத் தான் சொன்னது அனைத்தையும் செய்துவிட்டுச் சென்றார். காண்க : “பார்வையற்றோர் பார்க்கின்றனர், ஊனமுற்றோர் நடக்கின்றனர், தொழுநோயாளர் குணமடைகின்றனர், காது கேளாதோர் கேட்கின்றனர், இறந்தவர் உயிர்க்கின்றனர்,...
