ஆண்டவரே என் ஒளி, அவரே என் மீட்பு

திருப்பாடல் 27: 1, 2, 3, 13 – 14 சவுல் மக்களின் மனதில் தன்னைவிட பிரபலமாகிக்கொண்டிருந்த தாவீதைக் கொல்ல தேடுகிறார். அதற்கு காரணம் பொறாமை. எங்கே தன்னுடைய பதவிக்கு ஆபத்து வந்துவிடுமோ என்கிற பயம். தன்னை விட யாரும் புகழ்பெற்றுவிடக்கூடாது என்கிற அகம்பாவம். அவர்களை எதிரிகளாக பாவிக்கக்கூடிய முதிர்ச்சியற்ற தன்மை. இந்த பிரச்சனைக்கு அவர் கொலை தான், சரியான முடிவு என்று நினைக்கிறார். தனக்கு எதிராக யார் வளர்ந்தாலும், அவர்களை வேரோடு வெட்டிச் சாய்க்க வேண்டும் என்று அவர் முடிவெடுக்கிறார். அந்த கொலைவெறியோடு தாவீதைக் கொல்ல தேடுகிறார். அரசருடைய இந்த முடிவு தாவீதிற்கு நிச்சயம் அதிர்ச்சியளித்திருக்கும். அரசருக்கு நம்பிக்கைக்கு உரியவராக இருந்து, இப்போது எதிரியாக தன்னைச் சித்தரிப்பதை அவர் நிச்சயம் விரும்பியிருக்க மாட்டார். அதிகாரவர்க்கத்தை எதிர்த்து நிற்பது என்பது இயலாத காரியம். எந்த அளவிற்கும் செல்வதற்கு பயப்பட மாட்டார்கள். இந்த உலகமே அவருக்கு எதிராக நிற்பது போலத்தான் தாவீது பயந்துபோயிருப்பார்....

FORGET ME NOT

Our forty-day penitential journey nears completion. Lent ends when we begin the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday evening. Ash Wednesday seems like only yesterday. Have we answered the Lord’s call to prayer, fasting and almsgiving? It’s not too late! Our procrastination keeps good company. ஓசன்னா எனும் புகழ்ப் பாடல்!

இன்று குருத்து ஞாயிறு. ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவின் பாடுகளின் ஞாயிறு என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இன்றைய வாசகங்கள் குருத்தோலைப் பவனியைப் பற்றி மட்டும் பேசாமல், ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவின் பாடுகள், இறப்பைப் பற்றியும் பேசுகின்றன. எனவேதான், “பாடுகளின் ஞாயிறு” என்னும் பெயரும் உண்டு. இன்றைய நாளில் இயேசுவின் பாடுகள், துன்பங்களைப் பற்றிச் சிந்திப்போம். ஒரு மாற்றத்துக்காக, அவருடைய உடல் துன்பத்தை அல்லாது, உளவியல் துன்பங்களை, மன உளைச்சலை எண்ணிப் பார்ப்போம். இயேசு மெய்யான மனிதர் என்னும் உண்மையின் அடிப்படையில், இயேசு உண்மையான பாராட்டுதல்களை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார், மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தார் என நாம் நம்பலாம். அதுபோல, அவரைப் பற்றித் தவறான செய்திகள், வதந்திகள் பேசப்பட்டபோது அவர் மனம் புண்பட்டார், தாம் அநியாயமாகக் குற்றம் சாட்டப்படுவதாக எதிர்வாதிட்டார் என்பதையும் நற்செய்தி ஏடுகள் பதிவு செய்திருக்கின்றன. எனவே, இயேசுவின் பாடுகளின் நாள்களில் அவருக்கு நேரிட்ட உச்ச கட்ட மன அழுத்தங்கள், உளைச்சல், தனிமை உணர்வு, அவமான உணர்வு… இவற்றையும் நாம் சற்று...
