ஆண்டவரே! உம்மிடம் நான் அடைக்கலம் புகுந்தேன்

இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழக்கூடிய மக்கள் ஒவ்வொரு விதத்தில், ஒவ்வொரு இடத்தில் அடைக்கலம் புகுகிறார்கள். ஒருசிலர், புகழுக்கு மயங்கி, புகழிடத்தில் அடைக்கலம் புகுகிறார்கள். ஒரு சிலர், வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் செல்வம் சேர்க்க வேண்டும், செல்வம் தான் வாழ்க்கை என செல்வத்திடம் தங்களையே கையளிக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு சிலா் அதிகாரம் தான் எல்லாமே, என்று அதிகாரத்தைக் கைப்பற்றுவதில் தங்களது வாழ்க்கையை செலவழிக்கிறார்கள். இவர்கள் அனைவருமே எப்போதும் நிறைவைக் காணப்போவதில்லை. புகழும், பணமும், அதிகாரமும் எவருக்கும் நிறைவைத் தந்ததில்லை. நிம்மதியின்மையைத்தான் கொடுத்திருக்கின்றன. கடவுளிடம் நாம் அடைக்கலம் புகுவதுதான், நமக்கு நிறைவையும், மகிழ்வையும் தரும் என்று, திருப்பாடல் நமக்கு அழைப்புவிடுக்கிறது. கடளிடம் தஞ்சம் கொள்வதே நமக்கு நலம் என்பது திருப்பாடல் ஆசிரியரின் கருத்து மற்றும் வாழ்க்கைப்பாடம். கடவுளிடம் ஏன் நாம் அடைக்கலம் புக வேண்டும்? ஏனென்றால், கடவுள் தான் நமக்கு எல்லாமுமாக இருக்கிறார். கடவுள் தான் நம்மைப்படைத்தவர். கடவுள் தான், நமக்கு வழிகாட்டியாக இருக்கிறவர். நமக்கு வாழ்க்கைநெறிகளை வகுத்துத்தருகிறவர்....

DISTINCTIVELY DIFFERENT

“His life is not like other men’s, and different are His ways.” –Wisdom 2:15 In two weeks, it will be Good Friday. We are approaching the conclusion of Lent, a forty-day period of prayer and fasting culminating in the renewal of our baptismal promises on Easter Sunday. (யோவான் 07: 1-2, 10, 25 – 30) யோவான் ஐந்தாம் பிரிவில் இயேசு ஓய்வு நாளில் குணப்படுத்தியதால், எழும்பிய எதிர்ப்பு அப்படியே தொடர்ந்து, ஆறாம் பிரிவில் இயேசு, “நான் உயிர் தரும் உணவு” என்று கூறியதைக் கேட்டதும் இன்னும் வலுக்கிறது. இன்றைய ஏழாம் பிரிவோ எதிர்ப்பிலேயே தொடங்குகிறது. இந்த எதிர்ப்பு இன்னும் அதிகமாக வலுக்கிறது. ஓய்வு நாளில் குணம் கொடுத்ததற்கே அவரை எதிர்த்த யூதர்களுக்கு இப்போது அவரின் மீது பழிபோட இன்னும் அதிகக் காரணங்கள் கிடைக்கின்றன. 1. யூதக் கணிப்புப்படி (மாற்கு 14 : 61-63) தன்னை மெசியா, தன்னைக் கடவுளிடமிருந்து வந்தவன் என்று சொல்லும் எவனும் கடவுளைப் பழித்துரைக்கிறான் என நம்பினர். 2. இதையும் கூறிவிட்டு இயேசு இன்னும் ஒரு படி மேலே சென்று இறைவனால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட யூத மக்களைப் பார்;த்து, “நீங்கள் கடவுளை அறியவில்லை, நானோ அவரை அறிவேன்” (யோவான் : 28,29) என்கிறார். வெந்த புண்ணில்...
