Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our disappointments with God, the Church and Christians. The many tears, the countless unanswered prayers, the endless waiting for a miracle from heaven, the subtle and obvious insults and wounds – we surrender them all to You, Lord; not with anger, but with true submission and humility. We identify ourselves with Your apostles and Mother Mary, who waited and mourned before that glorious resurrection Sunday. Lord Jesus, turn our worst disappointments into Your biggest miracles. Amen.

கர்த்தருக்குள் அன்பான சகோதர,சகோதரிகளுக்கு,நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இனிய நாமத்தில் அன்பின் நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள். ஆண்டவரின் கண்கள் எப்பொழுதும் தமக்கு பயந்து உண்மையோடும் நேர்மையோடும் நடக்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரின் மேலும் இருக்கும். அவர்களை ஆண்டவர் ஒருபோதும் கைவிடவே மாட்டார். அவர்கள் கூப்பிடும்பொழுது அவர்களின் சத்தத்தை கேட்டு உடனே அவர்களின் எல்லா உபத்திரங்களில் இருந்தும் காத்துக்கொள்வார். நேர்மையாளருக்கு நேரிடும் தீங்குகள் பல. ஆனால் அவை அனைத்தினின்றும் ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை விடுவிக்கின்றார் திருப்பாடல்கள் 34:19. அவர்கள் எலும்புகளை எல்லாம் அவர் பாதுக்காக்கின்றார். அவற்றுள் ஒன்றும் முறிபடாது. தீயோரைத் தீவினையே சாகடிக்கும்.நேர்மையாளரை வெறுப்போர் தண்டனை பெறுவர். ஆண்டவருக்கு பயந்து வாழ்வோமானால் அவர்தம் தூதர் சூழ்ந்து நின்று காத்திடுவார். வாழ்க்கையில் இன்பம் காண விருப்பமா? வாழ்வின் வளத்தைத் துய்க்குமாறு நெடுநாள் வாழ நாட்டமா? அப்படியானால் தீச்சொல்லின்று நாவைக் காத்து வஞ்சக மொழியை நம்மை விட்டு அகற்றவேண்டும். இவ்வாறு தீமையை விட்டு விலகி நன்மை செய்வோமானால் நல்வாழ்வை அடைந்திடுவோம். ஏனெனில் ஆண்டவரின் கண்கள் நம்மை நோக்கிகொண்டிருக்கிறது. நமக்கு தீமை செய்வோரை கண்டும் நாம் மனம் புழுங்க தேவையில்லை....

“We ought not to cause God’s Gentile converts any difficulties.” –Acts 15:19 The leaders of the early Church discerned that the Holy Spirit was not requiring Gentile Christians to observe the Mosaic law except for abstaining “from anything contaminated by idols, from illicit sexual union, from the meat of strangled animals, and from eating blood” (Acts 15:20). Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your silent supporters earth. Lord, bless and honour those who clean the pews, decorate the halls for worship, do secretarial work, wash the toilets and do odd jobs behind the scenes – the sound technicians, the volunteer staff, the drivers, the launderers, the babysitters and all those who faithfully and quietly support ministries with their time and money, for Your glory. A prayer for their families too. May their rewards come from You. And frequently remind each of us that each role comes from You, so respect all jobs, all brethren. Amen.

கர்த்தருக்குள் அன்பான சகோதர,சகோதரிகளுக்கு,நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இனிய நாமத்தில் அன்பின் நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள். இந்த நாளிலும் நமது வாழ்க்கையில் நடக்கும் கஷ்டங்களையும், பாடுகளையும் நினைத்து நமது மனம் சோர்ந்து போய் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அந்த துன்பத்தின் வழியாக நாம் நடக்கும் போது அதில் ஏற்படும் அனுபவத்தினால் நிறைய காரியங்களை கற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம். அதனால்தான் தாவீது சொல்கிறார். நான் உபத்திரவப்பட்டது எனக்கு நல்லது. அதினால் உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்கிறேன். சங்கீதம் 119:71. ஒரு ராணுவ வீரன் ஒருவன் முகாமில் தீவிரமாக யாருக்கும் பயப்படாமல் தைரியத்தோடு சண்டை செய்தானாம். ஆனால் அவனுக்கு ஒரு வியாதியினால் தன் வாழ்நாளை எண்ணிக்கொண்டு இருந்தானாம். எப்படியும் உயிர் போகப்போகிறது. இராணுவத்தில் இறந்தால் நாட்டுக்காக வீர மரணம் அடைந்த திருப்தி இருக்கும் என்று நினைத்து தீவிரமாக சண்டை செய்தான். இதைப்பார்த்த அந்த நாட்டு ராஜா இவன் நம் படையில் இருந்தால் நமக்கு எப்பொழுதும் வெற்றி கிடைக்கும் என்று நினைத்து அவனை ஒரு நல்ல மருத்துவரிடம் அழைத்து சென்று அவனுக்கு உண்டான எல்லா செலவுகளையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அவனுக்கு சிகிச்சை அளிக்க...
