Lord Jesus, today we pray for the obese and the underweight. Lord, correct our metabolism and bring restoration and balance to our bodies. Cover us with Your love when we struggle with low self image. Help us chose food that brings energy and vitality to our bodies, clarity to our minds. Let us treat our bodies with respect and care, as true temples of the Holy Ghost. Give us energy and enthusiasm to find efficient exercise regimes and stay committed to those. Lord, give us victory in this battle for good health. Most of all, Lord, give us the wisdom...

அரண்மனை தெருவில் உள்ள ஒரு கூலித் தொழிலாளி ஒருவர் தனது குடும்பத்துடன் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார். அங்குள்ள ஒரு பள்ளியில் தனது பிள்ளைகளை படிக்க வைத்தார். ஒரு நாள் அந்த குழந்தைகளை பள்ளிக்கூடத்துக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லும்பொழுது வழியில் ஒருவர் நிறைய கைவினைப் பொருட்களை விற்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தார். அதைப்பார்த்ததும் அந்த குழந்தைகள் தன் அப்பாவிடம் அந்த பொருட்களை எல்லாம் வாங்கித் தரும்படி கேட்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்களின் தந்தை அந்த பொருட்களை தனது குழந்தைகளுக்கு வாங்கிக்கொடுக்கும்படி சென்று அதன் விலையை கேட்டார். வியாபாரி விலையை சொன்னதும் தன்னிடம் அவ்வளவு பணம் இல்லையே என்று நினைத்து தனது குழந்தைகளிடம் இந்த பொருட்களை நானே உங்களுக்கு செய்து தருகிறேன். நான் சிறு பையனாக இருந்தபொழுது இவைகளை செய்யும்படி கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். ஆனால் அதை தொழிலாக செய்யாமல் விட்டுவிட்டேன். ஆனாலும் எனக்கு ஞாபகம் இருக்கிறது என்று சொல்லி தனது குழந்தைகளை வீட்டுக்கு அழைத்து வந்துவிட்டார். பிறகு தன் குழந்தைகள் விரும்பிய பொருட்களை அவரே அழகாக செய்துக்கொடுத்தார். குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஒரே சந்தோஷம்.ஏனெனில் விற்ற இடத்தில் பார்த்த மாதிரியே நம் அப்பா செய்துக்கொடுத்துவிட்டாரே!...

“It is through Him that we address our Amen to God when we worship together.” –2 Corinthians 1:20 At every Mass, the Eucharistic prayer comes to a climax when the priest elevates the body and blood of Jesus and proclaims: “Through Him, with Him, in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is Yours, almighty Father, forever and ever.” At this climactic moment, the entire assembly responds “Amen.” We worship God together by addressing our Amen through Jesus to the Father in the Spirit (2 Cor 1:20). Lord Jesus, today we pray for those in entertainment, finance, media, art and other socially popular spheres. Lord, these are the people who pile up achievements – those faces we recognise and whose joy lie in their awards and accolades and in their wealth. Thank You for these people who make our lives more entertaining and relaxing. Now we say a prayer over them to claim their souls for You and You alone. We pray that these souls do not disconnect from You ever. Send them help, to bring them back to You, Lord Jesus. Amen.

ரகு முதன் முதலாக வீட்டை விட்டு பிரிந்து ஹாஸ்டல் செல்ல அதற்கான ஏற்பாட்டை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான். + 2 வரைக்கும் தனது பெற்றோருடன் வாழ்ந்து வந்த ரகு காலேஜில் சேர்வதற்காக, அங்கு ஹாஸ்டலில் தங்கி படிப்பதற்காக கிளம்பினான். ரகு மிகவும் பொறுமையான, அன்பான மாணவன். ஏனெனில் அவனின் பெற்றோர் அவனை நல்ல முறையில் கடவுளுக்கு பயந்து நடக்கும் வழியில் வளர்த்து இருந்தார்கள். சிறிது பயத்தோடு முதல்நாள் வகுப்புக்கு சென்றான். அங்கு இவனோடு படித்த இரண்டு மாணவர்களும் இருந்தார்கள். அதனால் ரகுவிற்கு கொஞ்சம் தைரியமாக இருந்தது. இவர்கள் மூவரும் ஒரே அறையில் தங்கிக்கொண்டனர். அதனால் எங்கு போனாலும் மூவரும் சேர்ந்தே போவார்கள், வருவார்கள். இரண்டு மாதம் கழித்து லீவுக்கு வீட்டுக்கு வந்துவிட்டு விடுமுறை முடிந்ததும் மறுபடியும் காலேஜிக்கு சென்றான். ஏதோ காரணத்தால் மற்ற இரண்டு பேரும் வரவில்லை. ரகு அலைபேசியில் அழைத்து கேட்டதற்கு இரண்டுநாள் கழித்து வருகிறோம் என்று சொன்னார்கள். அதனால் அன்று ரகு தனியாக ஹாஸ்டலில் இருந்து தன் வகுப்புக்கு போனான். மூன்றாம்...
