“My serving boy is at home in bed paralyzed.” –Matthew 8:6 Jesus came not to be served but to serve (Mt 20:28). As followers of Jesus, we too come to serve others by providing both their physical and spiritual needs. Like Jesus, we wash the feet of others and commit ourselves to live and even die in love and service (Jn 13:5). Nevertheless, many of us are out of action, that is, “out of service.” Like Peter’s mother-in-law and the centurion’s serving boy, we are “in bed with a fever” (Mt 8:14) or “at home in bed paralyzed, suffering painfully”...

Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being rammed by this cruellest attack against their souls. We pray that Your heavenly and earthly angels will support them when they are at their lowest. May they always find a friendly hand to hold, pray and bring them back. Break the strongholds of evil. Deliver them right now and forever – by the mighty power of Your Precious Blood, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen Collect: Grant, O Lord, that we may always revere and love your holy name, for you never deprive of your guidance...

ஆண்டவர் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து அவர் பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் வரும் யாராயிருந்தாலும் எதற்காகவும் கலங்கவும்,அஞ்சவும்,தேவையில்லை. அவரை நோக்கி நமது உள்ளத்தை உயர்த்தி அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொள்பவர் ஒருபோதும் வெட்கப்பட்டு போவதில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவர் இரக்கமும், பேரன்பும்,கொண்டவர்.அவருடைய பீடத்தண்டையில் அடைக்கலான் குருவிக்கும், சிட்டுக்குருவிக்கும் கூட அடைக்கலம் உண்டாம் .தி.பா.84:3. அப்படியிருக்க அவருக்கென்று அவரைப்போல் படைக்கப்பட்ட நமக்கு எவ்வளவு அடைக்கலம் உண்டு என்பதை அறிந்துக்கொள்வோம். ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்தில் தங்கியிருப்போர் நற்பேறு பெற்றவர்கள். அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் அவரைப் புகழ்ந்துக்கொண்டே இருப்பார்கள். நம்முமுடைய சரீரமே ( உடலே ) ஆண்டவரின் ஆலயமாக இருக்கிறது. ஆண்டவரின் ஆவியானவர் நம் இதயத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறார் என்று 1 கொரிந்தியர் 3 : 16 ல் வாசிக்கிறோம். ஆகையால் நாம் உண்மை உள்ளவர்களாய் அவருக்கு பயந்து கீழ்படிந்து நடப்போமானால் அப்பொழுது நம்மை முற்றிலும் பொறுப்பெடுத்துக்கொண்டு நம் கால் கல்லில் இடராதபடிக்கும்,ஒரு தீங்கும் அணுகாத படிக்கும் நம்மை காத்துக்கொள்வார். ஆண்டவரின் பீடத்தண்டையில் போகாமல் அவரை நோக்கி பாராமல் இருந்தால் எப்படி நமக்கு...
