Lord Jesus, God of love, we pray that Your peace comes into our world. Our world is torn by broken individuals, distant factions and fighting countries. Lord Jesus, on this day we specially lift unto You all who have lost their married partners, across the world. Lord, the loss of one’s beloved is one of the most painful experiences of life. We ask You to look kindly on all widows and widowers. As they struggle through loneliness, keep them in the embrace of Your mercy. Keep them always protected and never let their emotions be abused. For those who are still not able to overcome the shock of having lost their beloved, we pray that Your hands of healing might be upon their torn hearts. Amen.
