இன்றைய சிந்தனை: என் இதயத்துக்கு உகந்தவனாகக் கண்டேன். [ தி. பணிகள். 13 : 22 ] கடவுள் தாவீதை தெரிந்தெடுத்து அவரை இஸ்ரயேல் தேசம் முழுவதுக்கும் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம் செய்து சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்த்துகிறார். தாவீது சாதாரண நிலையில் ஆடுகள் மேய்த்துக்கொண்டு இருந்த ஒரு வாலிபன். அவனுக்கு எந்த படிப்பு அறிவும் கிடையாது. ஆனால் கடவுள் பேரில் மிகப்பெரிய பக்தி வைராக்கியம், நம்பிக்கை இருந்தது. அந்த நம்பிக்கையால் தான் கோலியாத்தை முறியடித்தான். சவுல் ராஜா மிகப்பெரிய சேனைகளை வைத்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தும் அந்த கோலியாத்துக்குப் பயந்து நடுங்கிக்கொண்டு இருந்தான். ஆனால் ஆடுகள் மேய்த்துக்கொண்டு இருந்த தாவீது ஒரு சின்ன கல்லின் மூலம் கோலியாத்தை வீழ்த்துவதை காண்கிறோம். ஞானிகளின் ஞானத்தை அழிப்பேன், அறிஞர்களின் அறிவை வெறுமை ஆக்குவேன். இவ்வுலகை சார்ந்த ஞானி எங்கே? அறிவாளி எங்கே? வாதிடுவோர் எங்கே? இவ்வுலக ஞானம் மடமை எனக் கடவுள் காட்டி விட்டாரல்லவா? கடவுளுடைய ஞானத்தால் அவரை அறிந்து கொள்ள முடியும். ஆனால் உலகினர் தம் ஞானத்தால் கடவுளை அறிந்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை. கடவுள்...

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are mentally unstable. Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name we pray that they will be delivered and saved from destruction. Let schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, fear, psychosis, neurosis, depression and all kinds of mental illness be routed from our families and communities. Let these people never harm themselves or others. Let them be set free from all emotional bondages, forever. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Psalm 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones.
