Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being tortured for their faith in You. Lord, let Your mercy and healing flow – into the prosecuted and the prosecutors. May the ones who harm us, know that to know You, is to love, serve and speak about You. May Your name be glorified and spread across the world every second. A special prayer for the souls of those martyred for Christian faith and for their families. May Thy church grow without bounds, Jesus. Amen.

ஆபிரகாம் கடவுள்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்தார். அதை கடவுள் அவருக்கு நீதியாகக் கருதினார். ஒருவர் வேலை செய்வதனால் கூலி அதாவது சம்பளம் கிடைக்கும். அது அவர்களின் உரிமை.அது நன்கொடை ஆகாது. ஒருவர் தம் செயல்களில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்காமல் கடவுள்மீது அதிக நம்பிக்கை கொண்டால், ஒருவேளை அவர் அதிகமான இறைப்பற்று இல்லாதவராக இருந்தாலும், அவர் கடவுள்மேல் வைத்த நம்பிக்கை யின் பொருட்டு கடவுள் அவரை தமக்கு ஏற்புடையவராக கருதுகிறார். ஏனெனில் கடவுள் ஒருவரது செயல்களை கவனிப்பதைவிட அவர்மேல் வைத்திருக்கும் நம்பிக்கையை கவனிக்கிறார். அந்த நம்பிக்கையினால் அவர்கள் மேன்மை அடையும்படி செய்கிறார். இதற்கு உதாரணமாக நாம் பலருடைய வாழ்க்கையை காணலாம். நாம் கண்ணால் காண்பதை நம்புவதும்,நம் வேலைக்கு தக்க கூலி வாங்குவதும் ஒன்றும் அதிசயமில்லையே! நாம் காணாததை நம்முடைய அறிவுக்கு எட்டாத ஒன்றை நம்புவதே நம்பிக்கை. நோவா கண்ணுக்கு புலப்படாததை குறித்துக் கடவுளால் எச்சரிக்கப்பட்டபோது, தம் குடும்பத்தைக் காப்பாற்ற, கவனத்தோடு ஒரு பேழையை அமைத்தது நம்பிக்கையினால்தான். அதன் வழியாய் அவர் உலகைக் கண்டித்து இறைவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர் என்னும் உரிமைப்பேறு பெற்றதும் நம்பிக்கையினால்தான். ஆபிரகாம் வயது முதிர்ந்த நிலையில் இருந்த...
