Lord Jesus, today we bring to You all Your children who are longing to hold a baby in their arms. Lord, we pray for mercy. We pray for the grace to trust You and for strength, if the wait has been long. May all marriage beds be kept holy. Forgive all the sins that couples have committed against their spirits, souls and bodies. We also pray that more and more childless men and women will be open to giving lonely orphans a home. கவலை, செல்வம், இன்பங்கள் !

விதைப்பவர் பற்றிய உவமையைப் பலமுறை கேட்டிருக்கிறோம். நான்கு வகையான விதைகளைப் பற்றியும் தியானித்திருக்கிறோம். இன்று மூன்றாவது வகையான விதைகளைப் பற்றி மட்டும் கொஞ்சம் நம் கவனத்தில் கொள்வோம். இந்த விதைகள் முட்செடிகள் நடுவே விழுந்தன. கூடவே வளர்ந்த முட்செடிகள் அவற்றை நெருக்கிவிட்டன என்று கூறிய இயேசு, அதற்குரிய பொருளையும் இவ்வாறு கூறுகிறார்: முட்செடிகளுக்குள் விழுந்த விதைகள் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டும், கவலை, செல்வம், வாழ்வில் வரும் இன்பங்கள் போன்றவற்றால் நெருக்கப்பட்டு முதிர்ச்சி அடையாதிருப்பவர்களைக் குறிக்கும். நம்மில் பெரும்பாலோர் இந்த மூன்றாம் வகையைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள்தானே? நாம் இறைவார்த்தையைக் கேட்கிறோம். ஆர்வத்தோடு ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம். ஆனால், இறைவார்த்தை காட்டும் பாதையிலே நாம் முதிர்ச்சி அடையமுடிவதில்லை. காரணம், கவலை, செல்வம், வாழ்வில் வரும் இன்பங்கள் என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு. இங்கு கவலை என்பது உலகப் போக்கிலான கவலை: எதை உண்போம், எதைக் குடிப்போம், நாளை என்ன செய்வோம் என்பது பற்றிய அளவுக்கதிகமான அக்கறை. செல்வம் சேர்ப்பது இன்னொரு தடை....
