Lord Jesus, You gave some of us this privilege and honour – to parent new generations and we have been blessed with two amazing people to be part of Your plan for us. We thank You for this precious blessing, Jesus. We pray Lord, for more parents with the wisdom needed to raise children who worship and love You more than anything else. May our own parenting be the kind that honours You, our creator. Amen.

Lord Jesus, on this day we specially lift unto You those who are caring for the ill – doctors, nurses and full time carers. Jesus, may they see You in the ones they are treating. Let care not become a business, but the biggest channel of Your divine love. May Your mercy and grace shine through these people, may the sick see You and sense Your blessing, peace and touch from these carers, when the suffering gets unbearable. A special prayer that these jobs are never abused. Amen.
