Lord Jesus, we bring to You those of us who have faced the deepest stab of all – betrayal by a loved one. Lord, You faced rejection and wounds from Your own. We bring to You our own pain, the ceaseless ache caused by the cut from a friend or relative. God, when people who promised to be around don’t stick by, when spouses cheat and parents, siblings or children reject, be our comfort. Forgive them cos they do not know what they are doing. Have mercy on us all. Amen.

இறையாட்சியை இயேசு கடுகு விதைக்கும், புளிப்பு மாவுக்கும் ஒப்பிடுகிறார். கடுகு விதை மிகவும் சிறியது. ஆனால், வளர்ந்து வானத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும் தங்குமிடமாகிறது. அதுபோல, புளிப்பு மாவும் சிறிய அளவானது பெரிய அளவு மாவையும் புளிப்பேற்றுகிறது. இறையாட்சியின் செயல்கள் மாபெரும் செயல்களில் அல்ல, சின்னஞ்சிறு செயல்கள் வழியாகப் பரவுகிறது என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு. இயேசுவின் குழந்தை தெரசாள் சிறிய வழி என்னும் சிறு செயல்கள் வழியாகவே பெரிய ஆற்றல்மிகு சாதனைகளைப் படைக்க முடியும் என்று வாழ்ந்து காட்டினார். எனவே, சிறிய செயல்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றைப் பற்றியும் நாம் கவனமாக இருப்போம். திருப்பாடல் 131 இந்த சிந்தனையை நன்கு வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. ”ஆண்டவரே, என் உள்ளத்தில் இறுமாப்பு இல்லை. என் பார்வையில் செருக்கு இல்லை. எனக்கு மிஞ்சின அரிய, பெரிய செயல்களில் நான் ஈடுபடுவதில்லை. மாறாக, என் நெஞ்சம் நிறைவும் அமைதியும் கொண்டுள்ளது. தாய்மடி தவழும் குழந்தையென என் நெஞ்சம் என்னகத்தே அமைதியாயுள்ளது” என்று அருமையாகப் பாடுகிறார்...

“I consider the sufferings of the present to be as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed in us.” –Romans 8:18 We must never compare ourselves with others. Nor should we compare the present with the past and idealize the “good old days.” Nevertheless, we should compare the present sufferings with the future glory. When we do this, our sufferings seem like nothing. We are filled with hope and become able to endure anything, even the burdens and boredom of everyday life. மத்தேயு 6 :8 “நீங்கள் கேட்கும் முன்னரே உங்கள் தேவையை உங்கள் தந்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்”. நம்மை, நம் தேவையை, நம் குறைகளை, நம்மைப்பற்றிய விவரங்கள் அனைத்தும் அறிவார். “நீ இருப்பதும் போவதும் வருவதும் எனக்குத் தெரியும்”( 2 அரசர்கள் 19 :27) இதுதான் நம் தெய்வம். “இயேசு அவரைக் கண்டு அருகே கூப்பிட்டு, “அம்மா, உமது நோயிலிருந்து நீர் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளீர்” என்று கூறி, தம் கைகளை அவர் மீது வைத்தார்.” அந்த பெண் எதுவும் கேட்கவில்லை.கேட்பதற்கு முன் அவளது தேவையை இயேசு அறிவார். இந்த நோயிலும் வேதனையிலும் பதினெட்டு ஆண்டுகள் கடும் பாடுகள்பட்டபோதிலும் இயேசு போதிப்பதைக் கேட்க தொழுகைக்கூடம் வந்திருக்கும் அப்பெண்ணின் மனதையும் தெய்வ பக்தியையும் அவளது விசுவாச வாழ்வையும் அவர் அறிவார். எனவே தம் கையை அவள்மீது வைக்கிறார்.குணப்படுத்துகிறார். நம்மையும் நம் இயேசு அறிவார். நம் தேவைகளை அறிவார். நாம் கேட்பதற்கு முன் நமக்கு தருவார். ஒரு சிலவற்றை அப்பெண்...
