இயேசுவின் ”செயல்வழிக் கற்றல் ” முறை இன்றும் தொடர்கிறது. உணவு அருந்தும் வேளையைப் பயன்படுத்தி இயேசு நல்ல மதிப்பீடுகளை மக்களுக்குக் கற்றுத் தருகிறார். குறிப்பாக, இயேசுவின் சீடர்கள் முதன்மையான இடத்தையும், மதிப்பையும் விரும்பித் தேட வேண்டாம் என்று அறிவுரை பகர்கின்றார். அதற்காக நடைமுறை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகளையும் தருகிறார். விருந்துக்கு செல்லும்போது விருந்தளிப்பவர் தருகின்ற மதிப்பைப் பற்றி இயேசு கூறுகின்ற எடுத்துக்காட்டு நமது வாழ்விலேகூட எப்போதேனும் நடந்திருக்கச்கூடிய ஒரு நிகழ்வுதான். நாம் முதன்மை இடத்தைத் தேடினால், அதை இழந்து பி;ன்னிடத்திற்கு செல்ல நேரிடும். கடைசி இடத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தால், அனைவரின் முன்பாக மேலிடத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்படும் பெருமைக்கு உள்ளாகியிருப்போம். ஆகவே, முதன்மை இடத்தை, பெருமையை, பாராட்டை பிறருக்கு விட்டுக்கொடுக்கின்ற நல்ல பழக்கத்தை ஒரு வாழ்வு மதிப்பீடாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோம். அப்போது, இறைவன் நம்மைப் பெருமைப்படுத்துவார். மன்றாடுவோம்: தாழ்ந்தோரை உயர்த்துகின்ற இயேசுவே, எங்கள் வாழ்வில் நாங்கள் உம்மைப் பெருமைப்படுத்தி வாழும் அருளைத் தாரும். பிறரிடமிருந்து பாராட்டை, முதன்மையை, மதிப்பை...

Lord Jesus, You taught us about love. But to some, love is manifested as lust. We pray for our brothers and sisters living in the bondage of sexual immorality, especially the ones who live it in secret and have no qualms about it. May they have the courage and integrity to recognise their folly and fight it, with Your grace. Pour forth Your Spirit on each one of us so that we may never fall into this evil. Protect our own and our children from being preys to this too. Amen.

இயேசுவின் கற்பிக்கும் பாணியே அலாதியானது. இன்றைய நாள்களில் கல்வித் துறை ”செயல்வழிக் கற்றல”; என்னும் முறையை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இதன்படி, மாணவர்கள் எந்த ஒரு செய்தியையும், கற்றலையும் செய்துபார்த்து அதன் மூலம் கற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். மிக திறன்வாய்ந்த கல்வி முறை இந்த செயல்;வழிக் கற்றல்; முறை எனக் கல்வியாளர்கள் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகின்றனர். மாணவர்களும் இம்முறையில் நன்கு வளர்சியடைகின்றனர். இயேசு தன்னுடைய இறையாட்சிப் பணியை இந்த செயல்வழிக் கற்றல் முறையிலேயே செயல்படுத்துவதை அறிகிறோம். ஓய்வுநாளில் குணமாக்குவது தவறில்லை, என்பது மட்டுமல்ல, தேவையானது என்னும் இறையாட்சிப் பாடத்தை இந்தச் செயல்வழிக் கற்றல் வழியே இயேசு தம் சீடருக்கும், பிறருக்கும் கற்றுத் தருகிறார். ஓய்வுநாளில் உணவு அருந்தச் சென்ற இடத்தில் நீர்க்கோவை நோய் உள்ள மனிதரை இயேசு பார்க்கிறார். அன்று ஓய்வு நாள் என்பதையும், தான் விருந்துண்ணவே இந்த வீட்டிற்கு வந்திருக்கிறோம் என்பதையும் புறந்தள்ளிவிட்டு, தனது உதவி அம்மனிதருக்குத் தேவை என்பதை அறிந்து உடனே செயல்படுகிறார். நலம் தருகிறார். நலப்படுத்திய...
