Today, we pray for those walking wounded

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the wounded, from all over the world, especially the ones who trudge into or live in our retreat centre, for a revival of their lives. We pray for healing that is complete – spiritual, physical and emotional. We pray that Your love seeps through their spirits, souls and bodies, removing every hurt inflicted by people. May they walk into Your arms and walk boldly along hereafter, holding Your hand forever. Amen.

இவ்வுலகில் நாம் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியாத செய்திகள் பல இருக்கின்றன. நமது உடல் நலம், மகிழ்ச்சி, செல்வம், வெற்றிகள்… இவையெல்லாம் எங்கிருந்து வருகின்றன. அவற்றைத் தொடர்ந்து பெறுவதற்கு என்ன உத்திகளைக் கையாளலாம் என எவ்வளவுதான் ஆழமாக எண்ணிப்பார்த்தாலும், மானிட மனம் குறைபாடுள்ளது என்பதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தான் செய்கிறோம். ஆனால், இறைவன் தருகிற ஞானம் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருந்தால், நாம் அனைத்தையும் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியும். குறிப்பாக, நம் வாழ்வின் நிலையாமை, நம் வாழ்வின் இறுதி இலக்கு… போன்றவற்றை இறைவன் மட்டுமே நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்த முடியும். “நீர் ஞானத்தை அருளாமலும், உயர் வானிலிருந்து உமது தூய ஆவியை அனுப்பாமலுமிருந்தால், உமது திட்டத்தை யாரால் அறிந்துகொள்ள முடியும்? என்னும் செய்தி இந்த உண்மையை நன்கு வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. இறைவன் தரும் ஞானத்தால் மட்டுமே நாம் மீட்பு அடைய முடியும் என்று இன்றைய முதல் வாசகம் நிறைவுபெறுகிறது. எனவே, தூய ஆவி என்னும் இறைவனின் கொடைக்காக மன்றாடுவோம். ஆவியின் ஆற்றலால் செயல்பட்டு, மீட்படைந்தோராய்...
