மினாக்களைப் பற்றிய இயேசுவின் உவமை இருவிதமான மனநிலைகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது. உயர்குடிமகன் தன் பணியாளர்களுக்கு பத்து மினாக்களைக் கொடுத்து அவற்றைக் கொண்டு வாணிகம் செய்யப் பணிக்கின்றார். சில காலம் கழித்து அவர் திரும்பி வரும்போது அவர்களில் பலரும் வாணிகம் செய்து ஈட்டியதைப் பெருமையுடன் அறிக்கை இடுகின்றனர். உயர் குடிமகன் அவர்களைப் பாராட்டுகிறார். ஈட்டியது எவ்வளவு என்று கணக்குப் பார்க்கவில்லை. அவர்களது நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய பண்பைப் பாராட்டுகிறார். ஒரே ஒரு பணியாளன் மட்டும் பணம் ஈட்டாதது மட்டுமல்ல, தம் தலைவரையே குறைசொல்லவும் துணிகிறார். நீர் கண்டிப்புள்ளவர், வைக்காததை எடுக்கிறவர், விதைக்காததை அறுக்கிறவர் என்று அவரையே தன் உழைப்பின்மைக்குப் பொறுப்பாளியாக்குகிறார். தலைவரோ அவருக்கு அவரது வாய்ச்சொல்லைக் கொண்டே தீர்ப்பளிக்கிறார். இரண்டாவதாக உள்ள மனநிலையைப் பலரிடமும் நாம் பார்க்கிறோம். ஒருவேளை நம்மிடம்கூட அந்த மனநிலை இருக்கலாம். பொறுப்புகளை ஏற்காமல், உழைக்காமல், உழைக்க மனமில்லாமல் வாழ்வதோடு, அதற்கான பொறுப்பையும் பிறர்மேல் சுமத்துகின்ற மனநிலையெ அது. ஆசிரியர் சரியில்லை, பள்ளி சரியில்லை,...

Lord Jesus, we pray for everyone who is not a Christian – our brothers and sisters who are walking the journey of life beside us, loving us and helping us, but not knowing You. We pray the Holy Spirit’s love saturates us so much that they see You in us. May we become Your voice, touch and hands to all. Help us to live sincere to You alone, even unto death. பல முறை வாசித்து, மகிழ்ந்த பகுதி சக்கேயுவின் மனமாற்ற நிகழ்வு. லூக்கா நற்செய்தியாளர் மட்டுமே குறிப்பிடும் இந்த நிகழ்வில் சக்கேயுவின் மனமாற்றத்தையும், அவரது வாழ்வை இயேசு தலைகீழாக மாற்றிப்போட்டதையும் நாம் எண்ணி வியக்கிறோம். ஒரு மாற்றத்துக்காக இன்று இந்த நிகழ்வில் சக்கேயுவைக் கொஞ்சம் ஒதுக்கி வைத்துவிட்டு, இயேசுவின் செயல்பாட்டைச் சிந்திப்போம். சக்கேயுவின் வாழ்வில் மிகப் பெரிய மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தக் காரணம் இயேசு எடுத்த முதல் முயற்சிதான். இயேசு சக்கேயு ஏறியிருந்த அத்திமரத்தை அண்ணாந்து பார்த்து, அவரை விரைவாய் இறங்கிவர அழைத்திருக்காவிட்டால், சக்கேயு மரத்தின்மேலேயே இருந்திருப்பார். இயேசுவைக் கண்களால் கண்டதோடு அவரது ஆவல் நிறைவேறியிருந்திருக்கும். இயேசு தாமாகவே முன்வந்து அவரை அழைத்ததுதான் சக்கேயுவை மகிழ்ச்சிக் கடலில் ஆழ்த்தியது. மனமாற்றத்தைத் தந்தது. இயேசு எடுத்த இந்த முன் முயற்சியைத்தான் தன் முனைப்பு, தன்னார்வம் என்று சொல்கிறோம். இது ஒரு தலைமைப்பண்பு. நல்ல தலைவர்கள் எப்போதும் தன் முனைப்பு, தன்னார்வம் உடையவர்களாகவும், மாற்றங்கள் தாமாகவே விளையும்...
