திருவழிபாட்டு ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் ”விழிப்பாயிருங்கள்” என்னும் செய்தி அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. அதுபோலவே, திருவழிபாட்டு ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்திலும் நாம் விழிப்பாயிருக்க அழைக்கப்படுகிறோம். ”விழிப்பு” என்றால் கண்துஞ்சாமல் இருப்பது என்பது முதல் பொருள். அதே நேரத்தில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் அவர்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட பணியை ஆற்றுவதில் ஈடுபட்டிருப்பதும் ”விழிப்பாயிருத்தலோடு” நெருங்கிப் பிணைந்ததாகும். பயணம் செல்லவிருக்கின்ற வீட்டுத் தலைவர் தம் பணியாளர்களிடம் வீட்டுப் பொறுப்பை ஒப்படைக்கின்றார். அவர் எந்த நேரத்திலும் வீடு திரும்பக் கூடும். அவர் வருகின்ற வேளையில் பணியாளர்கள் தங்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட பொறுப்பை நன்முறையில் ஆற்றுகின்றனரா எனப் பார்ப்பார். விழிப்பாயிருக்கின்ற பணியாளரே பொறுப்பானவராகவும் செயல்பட்டுத் தம் தலைவரின் விருப்பத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவார். வாழ்க்கையின் எல்லாச் சூழ்நிலைகளிலும் விழிப்புத் தேவை. விழிப்பு என்பது வரவிருக்கும் ஆபத்துக்களிலிருந்து தப்பிப்பதற்கு உதவும்; வருகின்ற சவால்களைத் துணிச்சலோடு எதிர்கொள்ளப் பயன்படும்; தடைகளைக் கண்டு தளர்ந்து போகாமல் அவற்றைத் தாண்டிச் செல்கின்ற வலிமையை நமக்குத் தரும். எனவே, விழித்திருப்போர் பொறுப்பான விதத்தில் செயல்படுகின்ற மனிதராக விளங்குவர். இயேசு...
