இயேசுவின் ஒவ்வொரு செயல்பாடும் நமக்கு மிகப்பெரிய கருத்தியலையும், ஆழமான சிந்தனையையும் தருகிறது. அவரது நடவடிக்கைகள் அனைத்தையும் கூர்ந்து கவனித்தால் அதுவே, மிகச்சிறந்த வாழ்க்கை நெறிகளை நமக்குத் தருகிறது. இன்றைய நற்செய்தியும் அதற்கு விதிவிலக்கல்ல. ஆல்ஃப்ரட் எடேர்ஷிம் என்கிற விவிலிய அறிஞர் இந்த பகுதிக்கு அருமையான விளக்கத்தைக் கொடுக்கிறார். இயேசு தன்னுடைய பணிவாழ்வில் மூன்றுமுறை உணவைக் கொடுத்ததாக நற்செய்தியில் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. அந்த மூன்றுமுறையும் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்ததாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. முதலில் கலிலேயாவில் தனது நற்செய்திப்பணி முடிந்தவுடன் கடைசியாக 5000 பேருக்கு, அப்பம் பலுகக்கொடுக்கிறார். அதன்பிறகு அவர் வேறு எந்த நற்செய்திப்பணியும் செய்யவில்லை. உணவைக்கொடுத்தது தான் கடைசிப்பணி. இரண்டாவது முறை, புறவினத்து மக்கள் மத்தியில் பணி முடிந்ததும் 4000 பேருக்கு அப்பத்தைப் பலுகச்செய்து கொடுக்கிறார். இதற்கு பிறகு அந்த பகுதியில் அவர் வேறொன்றும் செய்யவில்லை. மூன்றாம் முறை தன்னுடைய சீடர்களோடு இறுதி உணவு அருந்துகிறார். அதற்கு பிறகு சிலுவையில் மரிக்கிறார். உணவு என்பது நிறைவைக் குறிப்பதாக...

Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You – a desire to prepare well for this Christmas. Lord, You stripped Yourself off the privileges of heaven to become one among us. May we examine our thoughts, words, actions well to meet the Babe in the manger. Let no unforgiving spirit, strife, anger, bitterness, sin of any kind – block our journey into this Advent season. Help us make Christmas special for Your children on this earth. Bless us and our loved ones to truly raise our eyes to heaven and be ready to celebrate our bestest Christmas ever. Amen.
