Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those among us who are hungering for a square meal. Lord, do not judge our cruel world where the wealthy are enjoying the best of luxuries while millions are starving. We also surrender our hunger for love, care and fellowship. We especially submit the vulnerable – the old, the children and the lonely, who do not have anyone to offer them anything and have to fend for themselves daily. May those who hunger be filled, by You and by Your creations who live Your love. Amen.

இத்திருவருகைக் காலத்தில் இயேசுவின் இரண்டு வருகைகளையும் நாம் சிந்திக்கின்றோம். முதல் முறை வந்த மனுவுருவான நிகழ்வை மகிழ்ச்சி மிக்க கிறிஸ்துமஸ் விழாவாகக் கொண்டாட ஆவலோடு இருக்கிறோம். அத்துடன், அவரது இரண்டாவது வருகை ஒரு நடுவரின் வருகையாக, தீர்ப்பின் வருகையாக இருக்கப் போகிறது. அதற்காக நாம் எப்போதும் விழிப்பாக, ஆயத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்னும் உணர்வையும் இத்திருவருகைக் காலத்தில் பெறுகிறோம். இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம் திருமுழுக்கு யோவானின் இறையாட்சிக் கனவைப் பறைசாற்றுகிறது. இது யோவானின் கனவு மட்டுமல்ல, இறைமகன் இயேசுவின் கனவு, அவரது தந்தையாம் இறைவனின் கனவு. இறைவனின் வருகைக்காக அகத்திலும், புறத்திலும் ஆயத்தங்கள் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும். பள்ளத்தாக்குகள் நிரப்பப்பட வேண்டும். மலை, குன்றுகள் தாழ்த்தப்பட வேண்டும். கோணலானவை நேராக்கப்பட வேண்டும். கரடுமுரடானவை சமதளமாக்கப்பட வேண்டும். இந்த சமுதாயத்தின் மேடு, பள்ளங்கள், முரண்பாடுகள் அனைத்தும் சீராக்கப்பட வேண்டும். அது மட்டுமல்ல, மனிதர் அனைவரும் கடவுள் அருளும் மீட்பைக் காணவேண்டும். எல்லாருக்கும் இறையன்பு பரவலாக்கப்பட...

“Make ready the way of the Lord, clear Him a straight path.” –Luke 3:4 Before Christ’s Christmas coming and His Second Coming, we need to make a highway in the desert. We need this highway so we can return to the Lord from the exile of sin and so the Lord can return to take us from our exile on earth (see 1 Pt 2:11) to our heavenly home. This desert highway is both for us (Bar 5:7) and the Lord to use (Lk 3:4). We are to use the highway first to get out of the exile of sin....

இந்த குருக்களின் ஆண்டில் குருக்களுக்காக மட்டுமல்ல, இறை அழைத்தலுக்காகவும் மன்றாட நாம் கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். திருச்சபை ஆற்ற வேண்டிய பணிகள் ஏராளம் உள்ளன. திருத்தந்தை இரண்டாம் ஜான்பால் தமது மீட்பரி;ன் பணி என்னும் சுற்றுமடலில் மூன்று விதமான நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்புப் பணிகளைப் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். 1.நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்கப்படாத இடங்களில் நற்செய்தி புதிதாக அறிவித்தல். 2. ஏற்கனவே நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட விசுவாசத்தைப் பெற்ற மக்கள் அந்த விசுவாசத்தை இழந்து வாழும் இடங்களில் மறுநற்செய்தி அறிவித்தல். ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகள் பலவும் இந்த நிலையில்தான் இன்று இருக்கின்றன. ஒருகாலத்தில் ஆசிய நாடுகளுக்கு மறைரப்பாளர்களை அனுப்பிய ஸ்பெயின், பிரான்ஸ் போன்ற நாடுகளுக்கு இன்று புதிதாக நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்க வேண்டிய தேவை உள்ளது. பிற நாடுகளிலும் விசுவாசத்தை இழந்துகொண்டிருக்கிற மக்கள் ஏராளம் இருக்கின்றார்கள். அவர்களை வென்றெடுக்க வேண்டும். 3. கிறித்தவ விசுவாசத்தைக் கடைப்பிடித்து வாழ்வோரை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் மேய்ப்புப் பணி. இந்த மூன்று விதமான நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்புப் பணிகளும் இன்றைய அவசியத்...
