கடவுளை பலவிதமான வழிகளில் களைப்புறாமல் தொடர்ந்து தேடிக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களுக்கும், வாழ்வில் எப்போதும் நன்மையே செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணி, அதற்கான முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டுக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களுக்கும் இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகள் ஆறுதலாக அமைகிறது. கிரேக்கர்கள், ”கடவுளைக்காண்பது அரிது. கடவுளைக்கண்டாலும் அதனை மற்றவர்களுக்கு விளக்கிக்கூறுவது அரிதிலும் அரிது” என்று சொல்வார்கள். யோபு புத்தகத்திலே சோப்பார், யோபுவிடம் கேட்பதும் இதுதான், ”கடவுளின் ஆழ்ந்த உண்மைகளை நீர் அறிய முடியுமா?” (யோபு 11: 7). அப்படியென்றால், கடவுளைக்காணவே முடியாதா? நன்மை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு சோதனை மேல் சோதனைதான் கிடைக்குமா? அவர்கள் ஆறுதல் கூட பெற முடியாதா? என்கிற கேள்விகள் நமக்குள்ளாக எழலாம். அதற்கு பதில்தான் இயேசுவின் அமுதமொழிகள். கடவுளைப்பற்றிய தேடல் இயேசுவில் நிறைவடைகிறது. வாழ்வில் நன்மையே செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணுகிறவர்களுக்கு நிறைவு இயேசுவில் கிடைக்கிறது. இயேசு சொல்கிறார், ”பெருஞ்சுமை சுமந்து சோர்ந்திருப்பவர்களே, எல்லாரும் என்னிடம் வாருங்கள், நான் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன்”. இந்த வார்த்தைகள் கடவுளைப்பற்றிய தேடல் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும், வாழ்வில் நன்மையே...

“Take My yoke upon your shoulders and learn from Me.” –Matthew 11:29 Because God doesn’t grow weary (Is 40:28), and because we belong to God (Rm 14:7-8) and abide in God (Jn 15:4), His Word assures us that we won’t grow weary when we do His will (Is 40:29). God gives us strength as we bear the burden we are meant to bear, which is His yoke (Mt 11:29). The strength we need, and the rest we need, comes as we do His will. Jesus came to remove the oppressive yoke of our sins, which burdens and weighs us down....

Matthew 5:48 (WEB) Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Promise #342: I am the perfect Father. In the Old Testament, God was revealed through over 300 different names (ie Jehovah, El Shaddai, Adonai, etc.) but in the New Testament, Jesus reveals God through one name, and that name is ‘Father’. God is all about being a Father. Father is who He is. God is referred to as Father in every book of the New Testament except for one. Lord Jesus, our Saviour, today we pray for those of our brethren who should be coming back to you, but can’t, because of resentment, anger and bitterness towards God. Lord, only You know what is stopping us – our past, environment, challenges, hurts and struggles. We pray that when we return, we do so with fervour and a lifelong dedication, never to go away or astray again. Bless also the ones who are standing by and waiting, the family and friends praying ceaselessly for the return. Help us really forgive You and surrender truly our all. We pray that You...

கிறிஸ்து பிறந்த விழாவை டிசம்பர் மாதம் 25ஆம் நாம் கொண்டாடுகிறோம். அதற்கு சரியாக ஒன்பது மாதங்களுக்கு முன்னர், மார்ச் 25ஆம் நாள், இயேசுவின் பிறப்பு முன்னறிவிக்கப்பட்ட நிகழ்ச்சியைத் திருச்சபை நினைவுகூர்கிறது. கடவுளின் தூதர் மரியாவிடம் சென்று, அவர் கருவுற்று ஒரு மகனைப் பெறுவார் என அறிவிக்கிறார் (லூக் 1:26-33). திருமண ஒப்பந்தம் ஆகியிருந்தும் கணவரோடு கூடி வாழாதிருந்த மரியா, ”இது எப்படி நிகழும்?” என்று கேட்ட கேள்விக்கு வானதூதர் அளித்த பதில்: ”கடவுளால் இயலாதது ஒன்றுமில்லை” (லூக் 1:37) என்பதாகும். மனிதர் பல திறமைகளைப் பெற்றிருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய திறமைக்கு ஒரு எல்லை உண்டு. எவ்வளவுதான் அறிவுத் திறன் கொண்டிருந்தாலும் மனிதரால் கூடுமான சாதனைகள் அளவுக்கு உட்பட்டவையே. ஆனால் ”கடவுளால் எல்லாம் கூடும்”. இவ்வாறு கடவுள் வல்லமை மிக்கவர் என நாம் கூறும்போது இரு அடிப்படையான உண்மைகளை வலியுறுத்துகின்றோம். முதலில், கடவுள்தாம் நம்மை உருவாக்கியவர். எனவே, நாம் கடவுளின் படைப்புகள் என்பதாலும்...
