Today, we pray for animals, birds and other living creatures

Lord Jesus, on this day we pray for animals, birds and all other living creatures that You created to give us pleasure. We pray that these are protected and not abused. Forgive us Lord for the way we have hurt the living things around the world. A special prayer for our pets, who bring us great joy and for our dear ones like our children and the elderly – who have lost their pets. May us human beings learn to respect and love life – any creature that You created. Amen.

உண்மையான கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வு

இயேசு தனது போதனையில் திருமுழுக்கு யோவானைப்புகழ்ந்தது போல் வேறு யாரையும் புகழ்ந்திருக்க முடியுமா? என்றால் அது சந்தேகம் தான். அந்த அளவுக்கு, இயேசு திருமுழுக்கு யோவான் மேல் பாசமும், அன்பும், பற்றுதலும் கொண்டு விளங்கினார். திருமுழுக்கு யோவான் ஓர் இறைவாக்கினா். இறைவாக்கினர்களுக்கு இரண்டு கடமைகள் இருக்கிறது. 1. கடவுளை செய்தியைப்பெறுவது. 2. கடவுளின் செய்தியை துணிவோடு அறிவிப்பது. கடவுளின் ஞானத்தை எண்ணத்திலும், கடவுளின் உண்மையை தங்கள் உதட்டிலும், கடவுளின் துணிவை தங்கள் இதயத்திலும் ஏந்துகிறவர்கள் தான் இறைவாக்கினர்கள். அப்படிப்பட்ட உண்மையான இறைவாக்கினர் தான் திருமுழுக்கு யோவான். ஆனாலும், திருமுழுக்கு யோவானுக்கும், இயேசுவுக்கும் இடையே மிகப்பெரிய வேறுபாடு இருக்கிறது. திருமுழுக்கு யோவானுடைய போதனை முழுவதும், மக்களைப் பயப்படுத்தும் விதமாக அமைந்திருந்தது. ”விரியன் பாம்புக்குட்டிகளே, வரப்போகும் சினத்திலிருந்து தப்பிக்க இயலும் என உங்களிடம் சொன்னவர் யார்?”….”ஏற்கெனவே மரங்களின் வேரருகே கோடரி வைத்தாயிற்று”….”தம் கோதுமையைக் களஞ்சியத்தில் சேர்ப்பார். ஆனால், பதரை அணையா நெருப்பிலிட்டுச் சுட்டெரிப்பார்”. ஆனால்,...

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who are longing for a job. We pray that these brothers and sisters will have the grace to pray and seek Your will when they apply for jobs. May they never lose hope when a rejection comes. May they have the will and the grace from You to try and try again without giving up. Provide them and their families with finances for their daily needs. Tell us all every day what should be done with our time, our lives. Amen.
