எந்த அதிகாரத்தால் நீர் இவற்றைச் செய்கிறீர்? இந்த அதிகாரத்தை உமக்குக் கொடுத்தது யார்? என்ற இரண்டு கேள்விகளைத் தலைமைக் குருக்களும், மக்களின் மூப்பர்களும் இயேசுவிடம் கேட்டனர். இயேசுவோ இதற்கான விடைகளைக் கூறமாட்டேன் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டார். அவர்களின் கடின மனத்தைக் குறித்தே இவ்வாறு சொன்னார். ஆனால், உண்மையில் இந்த இரண்டு கேள்விகளுக்குமான விடை இயேசுவுக்கும் தெரியும். நமக்கும் தெரியும். இயேசுவின் அதிகாரம் தந்தை இறைவனிடமிருந்தே வந்தது. தந்தையே விண்ணிலும், மண்ணிலும் உள்ள அனைத்தின்மீதும் இயேசுவுக்கு அதிகாரம் வழங்கினார். இந்த அதிகாரம் இரு வகைகளில் இயேசுவிடம் குடிகொண்டிருந்தது. 1. தந்தை இறைவனுடன் அவருக்கிருந்த நெருக்கம். இயேசு எப்போதும் தந்தையுடனே ஒன்றித்திருந்தார். தனது சிந்தனை, செயல் அனைத்திலும் தந்தையின் திருவுளத்தையே மனதில் கொண்டிருந்தார். தனக்கென்று தனியான திட்டங்கள் எதுவும் இயேசுவிடம் இல்லை. தந்தையின் திட்டமே இயேசுவின் திட்டம். எனவேதான், தந்தை இயேசுவைப் பெருமைப்படுத்தினார். விண்ணிலும், மண்ணிலும் உள்ள அனைத்தின்மீதும் அவருக்கு அதிகாரம் வழங்கினார் (பிலி 2:6-11)....
