Genesis 1:27-28 (WEB) 27 God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Promise #4: I created you in My own image with My special blessing. Lord Jesus, there is no one who uses the power of words to heal as much as You do. We pray for Christians who inflict deep wounds with their tongue, without a care for others’ feelings. We pray that the ones who are at the receiving end can heal, forgive and forget too, by Your grace. May we become the kind of people who are gentle and loving in our speech. Let the anger, unforgiveness and hatred melt away when we are touched by You daily. Heal our tongues. Amen.

இயேசு தன் பணிவாழ்வைத் தொடங்கிய செய்தியை இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம் (+ மத்தேயு எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 4: 12-17, 23-25) தருகிறது. மத்தேயு நற்செய்தியாளர் இயேசுவின் பணி வாழ்வின் தொடக்கத்தை இறைவாக்கினர் எசாயாவின் அறைகூவலின் நிறைவேறுதலாகப் பார்க்கிறார். “காரிருளில் வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் பேரொளியைக் கண்டார்கள். சாவின் நிழல் சூழ்ந்துள்ள நாட்டில் குடியிருப்போர்மேல் சுடரொளி உதித்துள்ளது“. கிறிஸ்து பிறந்ததால் ஒளியும், வாழ்வின் நம்பிக்கையும் இந்தப் புவிப் பரப்பில் உருவானது என்ற நற்செய்தியை மத்தேயு பறைசாற்றுகின்றார். என்னுடைய பணியும், வாழ்வும் இயேசுவின் பணியும், வாழ்வும் போல அமைந்திருக்கின்றனவா என்று ஆய்ந்து பார்க்க அழைப்பு விடுக்கிறது இன்றைய வாசகம். எனது பணி இருளில் வாழ்வோர்க்கு ஒளியாக, நம்பிக்கை அற்றோருக்கு நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கிறதா என்று என்னையே கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன். எனது வாழ்வும் இயேசுவின் வாழ்வு போல அமைய அருள்வேண்டுகிறேன். மன்றாடுவோம்: நம்பிக்கையின் நாயகனே. இறைவா, உம்மைப் போற்றுகிறோம். உமது பணியும், வாழ்வும் நம்பிக்கை அற்றோருக்கு நம்பிக்கையை. இருளில்...
