Today, we pray for those who have left the church

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have left the church, especially the ones who left because of our judgmental attitude, rifts, wounds and struggles within the church. Lord, we Christians ask your forgiveness that we have been at times like the Pharisees of Your times, turning people away with our self-righteousness. We pray that with the power and grace of God, all hurts are washed away by Your precious blood. May their children, not experience the hatred and slander. Bind us all together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.

இயேசு தம் சொந்த ஊருக்கு வந்தபோது புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையை இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம் அழகாகச் சித்தரிக்கிறது. ”இறைவாக்கினர் எவரும் தம் சொந்த ஊரில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவதில்லை” என்று இயேசுவே தம் ஊர் மக்களிடத்தில் சொல்கின்றார். இயேசுவின் குடும்பத்தை, பின்னணியை, சுற்றத்தை நன்கு அறிந்தவர்கள் நாசரேத் ஊர் மக்கள். அந்த அறிமுகமே அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கும், அவரது நற்செய்தியை நம்புவதற்கும் தடையாக அமைந்துவிடுகின்றன. எனவே, அவர்கள் அவரது செய்தியைப் புறக்கணிக்கின்றனர். நமது வாழ்விலும் இத்தகைய அனுபவங்கள் நமக்குக் கிடைத்திருக்கலாம். நமது சொந்த வீட்டினர், குடும்பத்தினர், உறவினர்களே நமது அருமையை, திறமைகளை உணராமல், அறியாமல் நம்மை இகழ்ந்து ஒதுக்கிய நிலை நமக்கு ஒருவேளை கிடைத்திருக்கலாம். நாம் கொஞ்சம் கவனமாக இருப்போம். அடுத்த முறை நன்கு அறிமுகமான நபர்களின் ஆளுமையை, ஆற்றல்களை, சிந்தனைகளைத் திறந்த மனதுடன் ஏற்றுக்;கொள்ள முன்வருவோம். அறிமுகமே முற்சார்பு எண்ணங்களைத் துhண்டி, உறவை முறித்துவிடாதபடி, தவறான தீர்ப்புகளுக்கு நம்மைத் தள்ளிவிடாதபடி கவனமாயிருப்போம். மன்றாடுவோம்: அன்புத் தந்தையே...
