Lord Jesus, today we thank You for the angels we call our best friends. Bless, sanctify, heal, and strengthen our friendships. We praise You and glorify You for their love and support – the friend in school, the one who shared secrets in college, the colleague who always lend an ear and the stranger who became the most integral part of our lives. May they never see distress, but always be Your witnesses of love, peace and joy. Bless my best friend, Lord. Amen.

”நீர் பாஸ்கா விருந்துண்ண நாங்கள் எங்கே ஏற்பாடு செய்ய வேண்டும் என விரும்புகிறீர்?” என சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் கேட்கின்றனர். பாஸ்கா விருந்திற்கு என்னென்ன ஏற்பாடு செய்ய வேண்டும்? என்கிற கேள்வி நமக்குள்ளாக எழுவது இயல்பு. பாஸ்கா விழா கொண்டாட அடிப்படையில் நான்கு வகையான பொருட்கள் வைக்கப்பட வேண்டும். அவற்றை இங்கே விளக்கமாகப் பார்ப்போம். ஒரு சிறிய பாத்திரத்தில் உப்புத்தண்ணீர். இந்த உப்புத்தண்ணீரின் பொருள் என்ன? இந்த உப்புத்தண்ணீர் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் கண்ணீரைக் குறிக்கக்கூடிய அடையாளமாக இருக்கிறது. எகிப்தில் அடிமைகளாக இருந்தபோது, துன்பத்தினால் அவர்கள் கண்ணீர் வடித்தார்கள். அந்த கண்ணீரையும், மேலும், பாதுகாப்பாகச் செங்கடலைக்கடந்தனர். அந்த செங்கடல் உப்புத்தண்ணீர் சுவையுடையது. இவற்றை நினைவுகூற உப்புத்தண்ணீர் வைக்கப்பட்டது. கசப்பான மூலிகை இலைகள். இந்த கசப்புச்சுவையுடைய மூலிகைச்செடிகள் அடிமைத்தனத்தின் கசப்புணர்வையும், செம்மறி ஆட்டின் இரத்தத்தை, இஸ்ரயேலரின் வீடுகளில் தோய்க்கப் பயன்படுத்திய ஈசோப்புத்தண்டின் சுவையையும் நினைவுபடுத்துகிறது. கெரோசெத் பசை: (Charosheth Paste) இந்த பசை, ஆப்பிள், பேரீச்சை,...

“Distressed at this…” –Matthew 26:22 The apostles were deeply distressed that Jesus’ betrayer was seated in their midst at the Last Supper. However, Jesus was not distressed, although hours later in the garden of Gethsemane Jesus “began to experience sorrow and distress” (see Mt 26:37). Lord Jesus, today we pray for Your abundant blessings on our new bundles of joy – Your greatest miracles that have just come into our families. We pray that their eyes will see Your goodness in all, their ears will be tuned to Your voice as they grow up in a noisy world, their mouths praise You every day and their baby hearts accept You as early as they can. We pray their baby feet will walk Your walk and their crinkly palms will soon fold in prayer. May our newborn babies grow up loved and protected as mighty men...
