The anger, the greed, the unforgiving nature, the arrogance, our harsh behaviour, bitter words, greed, neglect of the family, unwillingness to help our brethren, alcoholism, lying, cheating, gossip, abortion, wrong relationships, adultery and sexual sins, addictive sins and everything else that You alone are fully aware of. தியாகமும் வாழ்வும்

எங்கே தியாகம் இருக்கிறதோ, அங்கே வாழ்வு இருக்கிறது. இந்த உலகம் இருப்பதும், இயங்குவதும், வரலாற்றிலே, வாழ்ந்த தன்னலமற்ற தியாக உள்ளங்களினால் தான். எனை ஈன்ற தந்தைக்கும், எனை வளர்த்த தாய்நாட்டிற்கும், என்னால் சிறிதளவு நன்மை கிடைக்குமானால், செத்தொழியும் நாளும் எனக்கு திருநாளே. இதுதான், தமிழர்களாகிய நம்முடைய முன்னோர்களின் வாழ்வு முறை. இன்று நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கை எப்படி இருக்கிறது? அடுத்தவனுக்கு குழிவெட்டி, எப்படியாவது நான் வாழ்க்கையில் முன்னேறிவிடலாம் என்கிற பார்வைதான் அதிகம். அப்படிப்பட்ட பார்வையை மறந்து, தியாக உள்ளங்களாக மாற இன்றைய வாசகம் நமக்கு அழைப்பு விடுக்கிறது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, தான் கடவுளின் மகன் என்கிற உயர்ந்த நிலையை நமக்காக தியாகம் செய்தார். நாம் வாழ்வு பெற வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, தன்னையே வெறுமையாக்கி, அடிமையின் தன்மை பூண்டு, சாவை ஏற்கும் அளவுக்கு, அதுவும் சிலுவைச்சாவையே ஏற்கும் அளவுக்கு, தன்னை தியாகம் செய்தார். நமக்காக தன் உடலையே உணவாகத்தந்தார். எனவே, நாம் வாழ்வு பெற்றுள்ளோம்....
